Who Are You?

With Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner, tis the season for relationships.

As you think about the word “relationships”, what comes to mind?

Maybe it’s your MIL who you just can’t seem to get on the same page with lately.

Perhaps it’s your partner, and you’re thinking about the necessity of scheduling that next date night.

Or maybe it’s your BFF, and you’re laughing about the fun time you had hanging out this weekend.

…But our guess is that you didn’t think about your relationship with yourself, did you?

It can be so easy to turn our attention outward instead of inward… and especially during this season. But we’re convinced your relationship with yourself is the most important relationship of all. Why?

Your relationship with yourself is the foundation for all of your other relationships.

Knowing this, how can you tend to your relationship with yourself? Following are the main concepts that we’re covering - step by step - in the collective this month.

  • Take some time to journal and reflect. Who are you? Where have you been? Where are you going?

  • Connect with your breath.

  • Learn your values.

  • Think back to some of the life changing moments in your life. How have they defined you?

  • Do a simple family mapping exercise to notice themes.

TRY THINKING ABOUT THE BULLET POINTS ABOVE WHEN LOOKING INWARD. IF YOU USE ANY OF THESE SUGGESTIONS, LET US KNOW IN THE COMMENTS BELOW AND TELL US HOW IT WENT!

Shameless Plug: Our online mental wellness community, the True Core Collective, is diving deep into the topic of relationships this month.
