horse girl summer series

Designed by horse girls for horse girls

While we patiently await our first day of the 2025 Restorative Retreat later this fall, we’d like to invite you to join us (Amy and EB) for a few micro events throughout the summer, specifically designed for horse girls. Each event has its own little twist which you can learn about below. You can sign up for one or catch ‘em all by signing up for all three. Choose your adventure!

dates: June 22 • July 20 • August 24

All summer series events will take place on a Sunday afternoon from 1-4pm

Location: Evergreen, Colorado

June 22 • create

For our creative horse girls craving time set aside to play and explore with pen and paper. Kick off your boots, put your toes in the soil and soak in the pasture scenes as you create alongside other like-minded individuals. This time will be reserved for play and curiosity. Write, draw, paint, and create to your heart’s content! We will provide some structure but you get to spend your time in the way that feels most life-giving for you.

$50 (or all three for $150)

July 20 • ground work

This event is for the horse girls who prefer a bit of dirt under their nails. With a mix of demos as well as first hand learning, we’ll be going through a progressive teaching series with the horses. These practices are commonly referred to as ground work. This is our more skill-based offering.

$75 (or all three for $150)

august 24 • beauty

For the romantic horse girls ready to immerse themselves in flower fields and wild grasses. Ain’t no shame, pair those boots with your loveliest dress if you fancy. We’ll be celebrating and leaning into the beauty of nature and horses. This event will include a pasture stroll, wildflower crown making (nature permitting), laying on blankets in the fields and studying the details we often so easily miss. And don’t worry, we will have lots of eager hands on deck ready to capture you in your flower field moment.

$50 (or all three for $150)

bear mountain ranch

Just a short drive from Denver, Bear Mountain Ranch is nestled in the town of Evergreen about 10 minutes from downtown. Bear Mountain is in fact EB’s home, complete with a small herd of horses, cats, and a dog of course. The ranch is located in a quiet neighborhood with plentiful wildlife, including the resident horses — Valentino, Charlie and Benito. While they each have their own quirky personality, they all love touch and time with people.

why horse girl summer series

Connecting with women at our Restorative Retreats has been a life altering part of our lives. And while we are thrilled to be hosting our normal retreat with a new ranch partner, we wanted to take the opportunity to have more intimate small moments gathering throughout the summer months in beautiful Colorado.

FAQ

Where are these events being held?
We’ll be hosting at Bear Mountain Ranch in Evergreen, Colorado. Exact address will be shared directly with attendees prior to each event.

How many people will be in attendance?
These are intimate events that will consistently be offered for 10 people or less.

What should I bring?
We’ll have hydration and snacks, but if you have something specific you’d like to enjoy during your time here, please feel free to bring it with you.

What should I wear?
Closed toed shoes are required and we’d suggest shoes that you don’t mind getting a little mud and manure on. For the June and August events, feel free to get as dressy as you fancy — we don’t apologize for vanity in this house.
For the July Ground Work event, we’d suggest a good pair of jeans, long sleeves and layers. Hats and sunnies are at your discretion. A cozy layer is always a good idea to have on hand in Evergreen.

Is the event still held if the weather has taken a turn for the worse?
Mother nature does indeed play a key role so while we’ve cast a vision for idyllic sunny summer days, we are ready to adjust the structure according to what the weather brings us. In the instance of severe storms, we do hold the right to reschedule events as needed.

Can men attend these events?
In keeping with our Restorative Retreats, the horse girl summer series is for all women-identifying individuals.
Are we going to ride horses?
We will not be riding for the Horse Girl Summer Series as these events are a more laid back, small-format gathering. However, if you do want to saddle up with us, be sure to check if there’s space available at our upcoming retreat!
