Random Musings and Gratefulness
Happy Labor Day! I hope you have had a restful Monday. Mine has been filled with ease and effort.
Here is a little poem I wrote about a new experience:
Feel the wind beneath you, fast
Almost like floating, riding
This new love, bicycle flying
Here is how I feel about reading for grad school:
Today I am grateful for freedom. I am so extremely lucky to be in a country where I am free to read whatever I want, whenever I want. It is often time difficult to remember how lucky we are as Americans; simply for the fact that we have information and education easily accessible.
So when I am faced with chapter upon chapter of reading to do for my graduated degree, I will remember how sweet it is to be in a place where I am able to attend school safely. I will remember how great it is to obtain an education. And I will remember to choose gratitude and joy in the face of overwhelming circumstances.
What are you going to choose?
