How to Get Rid of Disconcerting Eye Twitches

As I stare at my computer screen, my heart heavy with work that must be completed, I have to fight against feeling overwhelmed. This is never a pretty season for me… Finding a balance between getting it all done, seeing friends, eating well, working out, and avoiding a disconcerting eye twitch (I have not succeeded at this one) has not been easy. While trying to figure out what I wanted to write about this past week, I realized that through all of the pain and stress of finals, I have been continually reminded of the importance of self-care.

Self-care is active participation in enhancing the quality of your health.”

If you are interested in learning more about self-care, google it or check out that link. There is no need for me to digress and give you all a lesson on proper self-care. #thatsbeendonetoomanytimes

What I really want to impress upon you today is the fact that you must be the primary advocate for your health (mentally, physically, spiritually). There is no special coach, counselor, teacher, or trainer who is going to be able to change the way you operate.

Your health is your health. You must be an active participate in the change you seek to enact or the rest you wish to obtain. Do not wait for someone else to take you for a walk, buy a massage, or encourage you to get some sleep. You should be the primary activist for health in your life.

I am all for accountability and encouragement, but there must be a point where you make the choice to stand for your self-care and learn what assists in adding to the quality of your health.

No nonsense today, dear reader..I must  go take care of myself before I study.

Xoxo
